The defining theme this year, alongside the many questions that arose with the beginning of the new trump era, is trust. Trust in politics, trust in a new European idea, trust in new technologies.
Our insight: keeping humans at the center of all these debates and efforts is the right approach. However, especially in today's times, trust is also a highly fragile construct. Hence, the second major theme we bring back from Davos: resilience—both digital and analog. We had the privilege of attending a brilliant lecture by Dr. Fabian Mehring, who rightly raised the question of a new European and German idea. How can we protect ourselves from excessive dependency without destroying benevolent international relationships? How can we position ourselves at the forefront of innovation to avoid being left behind?
At 1io, we are working on all these questions on a technological level. We already have an answer: the solution lies in being decentralized, grassroots democratic, and above all: open and collaborative.
The WEF's motto this year will also shape our 2025: Collaboration for the Intelligent Age. We are building resilient technology that serves its users. The intelligent age is already drastically changing all of our lives. Humans must remain at the center of these developments, and this can only be achieved through fully decentralized and open ecosystems.
It has been our pleasure to make many new exciting connections. Now, let's make the best of it - together!
